Overview
We leave South Mission Beach and paddle across to Dunk Island - this is an easy paddle and no experience is necessary. Whilst crossing we may be able to see dolphins and turtles. We'll then stop at a nearby island for a mid morning snack before exploring the shallow waters of beautiful Dunk Island.
On Dunk Island you can enjoy a walk through the rainforest and learn about the island ecology and history, then continue onto a secluded bay to swim in the warm clear tropical waters. Lunch will be a selection of delicious salads, cold cuts and tropical fruit.
After lunch you'll have time to relax on the beach or try snorkelling to get a closer look at the coral and tropical fish of the fringing reef. Then we return to our kayaks for the afternoon paddle to further explore the nearby islands before we head back to the mainland.

Mission Beach (Cairns and Tropical North QLD - Queensland)
This activity departs Mission Beach (2 hours south of Cairns by car) and travels to Dunk Island.

Numbers
Tours operate with a minimum or 2 and maximum of 12.
Session Time
This is a full day tour departing at 8.20am and return approximately 4:30pm back at Mission Beach (2 hours drive from Cairns). No Cairns transfer is provided.
Guidelines & Restrictions
No experience necessary, anyone who enjoys a little exercise can do it.Our guides are fully qualified to instruct you in all the basic strokes and teach you all the skills you need. Please bring swimmers, suncream, hat, and bottled water.
We are a small company and both of our guides have lived in North Queensland for over fifteen years. They are both experienced adventure guides and qualified Sea Kayak Instructors, they are good fun and enjoy sharing the wealth of information they have about the region.

Kayaks are double kayaks. Age minimum is 13 and up.
