Light aircraft - One Day Opal Tour
Description
We depart Bankstown airport at 7.00am and arrive at Lightning Ridge at 9.00am. We meet the tour company at the airport for scones and tea and then we experience the 2.5 hour opal mine tour. The bus tour starts with the history of the town and a show of the small mines. You will then be shown how the opals are prepared (cut and polished) by the local experts and have a chance to buy some of these beautiful opals at fantastic prices. The bus tour then takes you to a mine where you walk down into and see how the opals are mined under ground.
We then leave Lightening Ridge and return to Bankstown airport at approximately 6.00pm

Participant Guidelines
Restriction apply to persons affected by changes in pressure, ie colds, flu and heart conditions. This is a full day trip morning tea is provided, lunch is at your own expense.
